About PrestonBARBER

History

Having worked for a variety of large and small Consultancy Practices and Contractors, partners Sue Preston and Graham Barber took the opportunity to form PrestonBARBER LLP in 2004. Over the following years our team have established a reputation for successfully delivering exemplary design solutions for a wide range of clients and sectors. We have become trusted advisors to an enviable list of clients ranging from public sector, architectural practices, project managers, property agents, developers and private clients. The vast majority of our commissions (over 80%) result from repeat business or client recommendations.

Partner role

Without exception, partners Sue Preston and Graham Barber have a continuous role in the undertaking of projects from design conception to project completion. This ensures that our clients really do benefit from all those years of engineering knowledge and vast experience. We believe that this is relatively unique for partners to have such a hands on role within their business.

Delivery without compromise

We are realistic; there is always a budget. It remains our duty to ensure that our clients receive the optimum design solutions and ultimately takes delivery of a building that exceeds their expectations whilst still being within the budget constraints.

Forecasting the future

We take time to establish who will be occupying and maintaining the building after the design and construction team has left site. We ensure our design solutions dictate that system controls and required maintenance regimes are appropriate for those persons left in charge.

We are conscious that our clients receive European funding, Lottery Grants or private funding for the capital cost of constructing a building but little money towards the ongoing running costs. Again we have an excellent track record of ensuring our buildings are sustainable and have low energy consumption. It is an obviously simple idea but surprising often overlooked.

Quality Engineering & Training

We consistently strive to improve our design solutions and document delivery through the use of innovative design and creative software packages.

We are fully committed to them going training and development of our valued engineers; from junior to senior level.

The world and technology keeps expanding and developing and so must we.
